What a small business security checkup covers
A security checkup is a quick, fixed-price look at the basics that stop most attacks. Here's what gets checked and what you get.
Most small business break-ins don't start with a sophisticated hack. They start with a reused password, a missed update, a phishing email or a backup nobody tested. A security checkup finds those gaps quickly.
What gets checked
- Devices: are updates, antivirus and disk encryption turned on?
- Accounts: is multifactor sign-in on for email and important apps, and who has admin access?
- Email: is phishing protection on, and can someone easily send email pretending to be you?
- Wi-Fi and firewall: are staff, guests and devices kept apart, and is remote access locked down?
- Backups: do they exist, are they off-site, and do they actually restore?
- People: does your team know how to spot a phishing email or a fake invoice?
What you get
A written report in plain English that ranks what to fix first and why. Some fixes take minutes; others are worth planning. You can fix them yourself, have your IT provider do it, or have us help.
Cost
Fixila SB's security checkup is $299 for up to 10 devices. Larger network and vulnerability assessments are also available. See security checkups and assessments.
